Writer's Diary

Housed in a stately corner on my bookshelf is Virginia Woolf's Diary entitled, "A Writer's Diary."  I cannot help but think that such a book must be the highest credit to any writer, as a published writer's diary suggests that the writer is so talented that one would pay to read his or her musings on daily minutia.  A high compliment I'd say.

I created this blog not because I thought people would want to read personal frivolities on writing, literature, and most things related, but because as an aspiring writer in a technological age it is vital that I establish my voice on the internet.

Like any true writer I don't write with the aim of it being read or adored, but simply need to write.  However, contrary to the above statement I do wish it to be loved by some, liked by others, and, if I get really lucky, evoke change for the better in a select few.

The purpose of this blog is solely literature and writing related; if you want to hear matters on other topics please visit missylissygirl33@blogspot.com or the news (that's always a good place).  My vision is to read books and post my informal reviews on this blog.  Along with that, this is a place to share my thoughts on writing.

Enjoy!

"Each has his past shut in him like the leaves of a book known to him by heart and his friends can only read the title."

"Every secret of a writer's soul, every experience of his life, every quality of his mind is written large in his works."

"Arrange whatever pieces come your way. "

"If you do not tell the truth about yourself you cannot tell it about other people."

-Virginia Woolf
